What We Expect From Sachin Tendulkar’s Autobiography, "Playing It My Way"

Sachin Tendulkar’s autobiography “Playing it my way” is releasing today and there is already enough curiosity around this book. This book has been in news from the moment it has been announced that sachin is going to come out with his autobiography. There are many reasons why this book “playing it my way” is generating such craze.

Throughout his outstanding international career which lasted for more than 20years, sachin has been a no-nonsense, uncontroversial player. In spite of being the best batsman of his generation, he never showed any airs on or off the field. Without any doubt, he enjoyed huge fan following cutting across regions and nationalities. For a player of his stature and charisma, there are bound to be some ups and downs in his career. He remained indifferent even in those times. He was the same person on the cricket field when he was scoring runs at will and when he struggled with his form. It is this attitude of him, according to me, is what made him a great player from a talented player.

Finally he retired from all forms of cricket without being part of a single controversy. So its natural that all his fans will miss him dearly. This sachin’s autobiography, “Playing it my way” has come to their rescue. They expect to know more about him as a person and a player through this book. As the release date of this book is fast approaching, the number of pre-orders is ever increasing.

So, what do we expect from sachin’s autobiography, “playing it my way”?

The one word answer to above question is HONESTY. Yes, we all know that sachin as a person and a player is very honest. Even on the field, he never did anything which goes against honesty. So, even in this book, we expect him to be honest with his opinions and experiences he is going to share with us. We just hope that he didn’t try to impress anyone with this book.

He was part of almost all possible scenarios in a cricket match. As a cricket fan, everyone wants to know what was going through his mind in various situations of a game. Everybody expects to know more about his approach towards this game with time, the type of adaptation he has to go through in order to meet ever increasing hopes of his fans.

And last but not least, people would love to know about the dressing room activities and his experiences with three generations of players. What he thought of some of his fellow teammates, his opponents, different grounds, spectators in other countries.

We just hope that he shares his personal and honest opinion regarding his best and toughest knocks and why he considers them to be so. Also a little info about the bowlers who he deems to be difficult to face.

As a fan, I have many more questions in mind and I just hope I find all answers to my questions in his book, “playing it my way”. I have pre-ordered the book already and just couldn’t wait myself for its release.

Just hope this sachin’s autobiography becomes a huge hit and breaks all the records related to number of books sold in India, just like he did on cricket field with his bat. ALL THE BEST :)
